Well we made it through our first term here at Charis Bible College!
What can we say in a “nut shell?” It’s been the best thing we’ve ever done but one of the hardest things we’ve ever done! Having something in our heart for over 34 years and finally stepping out and doing it has been a real BOOT CAMP for us. We needed it though. We needed to stop being afraid to do what we wanted to do and stop letting our emotions and fleshly desires control us and keep us from God’s plan for our lives.
We left home, leaving our comfort zone and decided to trust God and what we know He told us to do. We took what savings we had left (after getting some things in order) and used it to give us a jump-start into the plan that God has for our lives. We are so thankful we did it though. We are so thankful to our friends who chipped in and helped us pay for more than half of our tuition. Thank you, Friends! We know God will bless you tremendously for sowing financial seeds into us toward our ministry training.
We have come through feeling homesick. We have survived living 24/7 together—which is a big deal considering we really haven’t been around each other much the past 4 years while David was working on the road. It has been an adjustment going back to school and studying and putting our brains to work again, ha-ha! BUT, like we said, it has been the best thing we have ever done.
This first term we have been flooded with eleven classes that are basically all about our identity in Christ, as born-again believers. They have focused on God’s love FOR us, God’s righteousness IN us, and everything we have because of Jesus coming to Earth as a man, and His death, burial, and resurrection, and ascension back to Heaven—leaving us His Holy Spirit to lead us and work through us.
We again want to thank our faithful friends and partners for your continued prayers and support. We pray that you also will go forward and do what God has placed in your hearts to do. You are precious to us and we believe that together, in unity, we can all get in our place and do our purpose for the Kingdom of God here on Earth. Let’s do this!!
Keep checking our posts weekly and stay in touch!
We love you!! Have a great week!
