Get to Know David & Dana
Summer of 1983—Yep, this is when we married, and it all began. (Well, it actually began several years before we were married—when ministry was conceived in each of our hearts.) When we began talking about having a future together as husband and wife, being young and immature didn’t matter to us at the time. We only knew there was “something there” that we both had in our heart to do for God and couldn’t be ignored.
We constantly talked about our love for Jesus Christ and our personal relationship we each had with Him. We agreed that we wanted to be married and spend our lives ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ together. Well, right away we eloped (August 5, 1983) and got the married part accomplished. In our excitement to get married, we bypassed the preparation and foundation part and, like most people, started a journey of “flying around by the seat of our pants!”
Our plans of going to Bible School together and preparing for ministry were postponed for 34 years, but it wasn’t too late!
After much help from God, we are miraculously still married and the dreams in our hearts from the beginning are coming true! God made a way for us to finish and graduate the two-year Bible program at Charis Bible College at the Woodland Park, Colorado campus. We also stayed an extra year to do the Third-Year programs. David graduated from Charis Government School and Dana graduated from Charis Business School.
With years of hard knocks behind us, we are now moving forward faster, smoother, and more focused than ever! Our ministry was birthed when we began turning frustrations into Word of God based forward movement. The Truths about God, His Word, or His great love for us were not known to us 40 years ago like they are now. Knowing God’s love in a new way and what Jesus did to set us free is now making us free to live the life we are purposed and called to live.
Our desire is to help you see and experience His love for YOU personally, and to help you see beyond the frustrating religious teachings that come from man. It’s in our hearts to share with you what we now see—God in His true nature! We believe this revelation will change your lives just as it has ours!

Meet David Ecklund
David R. Ecklund is a graduate of John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Social Studies/History in 1990, Charis Bible College Colorado with a Master’s Degree in Bible in 2019, and Charis Practical Government School in 2020. David is a licensed Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Charis Bible College.
Moving forward after graduating from Charis Practical Government School, David created his website, The Patriot’s Path, for a place to blog and teach the God-given foundational truths about American History and how God wants Christians involved in government and culture development.
David currently teaches Jr. High History at Awaken Academy in San Marcos, California, where he is honored to be able to teach students these truths. He also stays involved in the ministry and pastoral care teams at his church and leads a home connect group with his wife Dana.
As a disciple of Jesus Christ, David sees it as his duty to steward his passions for “God, Country, and Family” by teaching truths from God’s Word regarding God’s government, self-government, family-government, church-government, and civil-government.
David loves to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in pretty much every conversation he has with people. He knows that when he brings forth truth, he gives the Spirit of God the opportunity to bring life and liberty to the listener into every area of their life. His heart is that we as Christians will go into every area of culture and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we will together build the Kingdom of God here on Earth.
Meet Dana Ecklund
Dana Marie Ecklund has a passion to cheer you on into God’s heart and purpose for your life. She believes the thing inside you that keeps knocking at your heart’s door, was deposited in you by God to help get you into your place of fulfillment during your time here on Earth.
Dana’s faith in God has been tested and tried throughout her life of 59 years so far and 40 years of marriage, raising four children, and other life experiences which led to what she calls “merry-go-round riding.”
Her personal experiences, as well as experiences with other people in her life, includes religious legalism, sexual identity crisis, pornography, sexual abuse, family members who struggled with substance abuse lifestyles, including prison and rehab time, her own marriage struggles, children with major health diagnosis’s, peer pressures through work, school, and more.
These experiences, and how God helped her through all of them, are the basis for her writing and publishing her first book OFF the Merry-Go-Round and ON With Your Life! She also published a companion journal and workbook to walk people through on how to get off life’s circumstantial merry-go-rounds.
Dana has proven that she can recognize merry-go-rounds and is not afraid to get off and go forward and desires to help others do the same. You can learn more about Dana’s ministry, On With Your Life, at her website.
According to David, “she has a faith that has been portrayed and defined by how she has lived her life. No matter what the circumstances or situations she faced, she never quit believing God and His Word. She has held to the Word of God. It has been her Rock. It is evident that her foundation, who is the Lord Jesus Christ, is strong! This is who she is and her victories are fully displayed in her life.”
Dana became a licensed Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ after graduating Charis Bible College, Woodland Park, CO in 2019 with an Associate of Art in Biblical Studies. Determined to keep moving forward, she finished Charis Bible College Business School in 2020 and now blogs on her website, On With Your Life, and started a video-podcast called “On With Your Life.” Her podcast brings short teachings and interviews of people who have gone on with their life after turning to God for help to move forward after a life-altering event. Many of these people have been set free from addiction, religious legalism, childhood traumas, marriage problems and more. She is also building the business God dropped in her heart in 2015 (Honorable Intimacy) and most definitely loves helping David express his God-given passions. She is active on her church ministry and pastoral care teams and holds two connect group/Bible Study’s in her and David’s home.
